Lol - what a cutie . I wish Buttons had put his skills into something useful like that - he decided doors were no interest to him unless they were refridgerator doors

That is hilarious! We had to put one of those locks for baby's on the cupboard under our sink because that is where our food garbage goes and Lily figured out how to open the door up.

Your dog is not allowed to hang out with my dog, lol. If my beagle learns how to open doors we'll be in BIG trouble

I need to know if all the dogs that are opening doors have pointed noses? My Cobi who is 11, surprised us about three years ago, by raiding the frig, using his nose as an opening tool to the door and crisper boxes, If there hadn't been such goodies low, I am sure he would have gone to the freezer on top, He has also learned to open the pantry door, the cupboards below and use them to climb up on the counter and forage through the upper cabinets, We went to buy a new refrigerator,.,.and the only specification was that it was beagle proof,,,the sales people got a great chuckle out of that one, When we bought baby locks, our children are all in their 20's, people asked when our grandchildren were coming --- not it's for the dog!

So as I say, don't tell me beagles are dumb, they just haven't proven to us how smart they really are, Now he is teaching our younger beagle, Casie age 4 his tricks, Passing it on to another generation,,,,,Lord help us!
