Default Surfing, Skating, Mountain biking beagle :)

When we first got this little guy i would have never thought he would have been able to fit in with my life as well as he has. Lots of people always ask why i got a beagle and that other dogs would have fit better but he's proved everyone wrong so far!!! Hope you enjoy

Being a trail dog

Being a surfer

Being a skateboarder

Wow! That looks like so much fun!

My beagle 'inherited' my lazies and our favorite activity is to lounge around at home. :P

Those videos are great. I took our beagle to the lake for the first time this weekend, and she seemed very fearful of the water and did not want to go in. Being a rescue, I find she is fearful of most new things, but usually comes around. However, I wasn't dressed for a walk in the lake so I didn't push it. Do most beagles like the water?

I'm not too sure a lot of beagle owners we see over in NZ where we are say they don't like the water that much. I think Olly kind of had no choice, if he wants to be with dad then we are surfing if not he plays on the sand and barks at me until i come in and pick him up to bring him out with me.

Default Training

Hate to resurrect dead threads, but I've been considering adopting a beagle, and I have a similar active lifestyle that I would love to bring the little guy along with all of the adventures (mountain biking, hiking, camping, jogging, etc). The biggest drawback I've come across is the nose of the beagle, where they just take off. I was wondering how you trained your beagle to follow you and ignore the scents that it keeps picking up, especially on the mountain bike video. Thanks in advance!
