Default Are most beagles lapdogs?

Hi, My Sophie loves to sleep on our laps and cuddle with us, especially during the evening when we are watching tv. Is this typical of beagles or are we just lucky. My other beagles never would sit on our laps and cuddle. they were rescues and one was a stray, so they might not have been given the chance when young.

Ally's definitely a lap dog. Someone in our building said his first dog was a beagle and definitely wasn't cuddly like Ally, so he was surprised when she jumped up on his lap one day.

Cooper loves to cuddle and will actually maneuver himself so he is completely in my lap. He was a stray, so we knew nothing about beagles before we took him in, but were pleasantly surprised to see how affectionate he is!

My beagle sure is a lap dog. I'm surprised he is so affectionate because he was rescued from medical research and for 2 years lived in a laboratory. That makes me think the affection is a natural trait. Or maybe he is just making up for lost time!

Poppy is definitely a lap dog, I thought it was because when we got her at 8 weeks old I used to sit on the floor with her and let fall asleep in my lap, then I used to carry her to her bed. Those were the days when I said she was not going to be allowed to sit on the sofa, but of course now that is where she sits!

I sometimes think Lily actually owns my lap and just lets me use it.

When I'm laying down, Charlee likes to curl up in my legs. Otherwise, he is always sitting right beside me. When I get up, he takes my spot on the couch or bed. It drives me nuts, but it's really cute.

Jackson is a cuddler when he wants to be! He loves to sleep on the couch with his head on my lap, or curled up against the side of my leg. He'll even curl up with our visitors! He likes to cuddle in bed, too, squished between my husband and I in the middle of the bed.

His girlfriend, Hailey (a Puggle), is very cuddly too, although she's really funny in bed because she likes to burrow under the covers and make herself a cocoon.
