I recently published an article on ezine.com about the subject of leash training your Beagle. It's too big to cut and paste into the forum so if you would like to read it, here's the link:
Beagle Training - How To Stop Your Beagle From Leash Pulling For Good! |

*UPDATE*
We have been walking with the harness for a week now and our walks are MUCH better. She doesn't even pull all that much anymore and only once in awhile do we have to stop. Now when she feels the leash go tight she will typically slow down. The only big problem we have had is one night I met up with my MIL to go walking and Mixer was just so darn excited and tried jumping up on here. Of course the leash doesn't reach that far so it ended up jerking herself back and she fell back onto her back. Gave me quite the scare b/c she landed with a thud but she seemed to be fine. Now our only other issue is the big, mean stray dog in the neighborhood. |

Glad to hear the harness is working out. I have had that happen with Cole before (him falling on his back). It only happened once and he has never done that again!
