not to say you can go ahead and feed them, but not worth panicking if your dog should accidently eat a grape or two. i know one of mine ate half an onion once and had no adverse effect. and every easter i know at least a couple chocolate bird eggs go missing because the dogs poop little foily rainbows. no harm done.
Absolutly right

while on the subject...anyone notice increased aggression with chicken? I mean we've only had her a week, and fed kibble/carrot/canned food mix for the first 4 days. Then went to training and trainer said chicken would be an ideal treat. so i've given her boiled chicken, and some dried chicken treats from costco. She gets really aggressive after she's had some, and I have to mellow her out in the play gate.

google found info - says increased protein intake = increased energy/aggression. She needs a way to outlet that energy. I'm hoping its just that. Vet says 1 more week before she's safe to be outside.

Oh my gosh! Hunter LOVES chicken! We feed the Wellness Core which is all protein and mainly chicken and turkey. It is grain free which I found out Hunter has to have or he chews his feet like crazy!

he also likes the duck and potato food from Natural Balance...they make a new limited ingredient food.

dj - I've heard that before, but our three guys are on a higher protein food and I haven't noticed any aggression. I wonder if there could be something else? Is she aggressive after getting any kind of food?

Actually...we're thinking it's more pent up energy because we weren't allowed to take her out. My gf even noticed how the last few days she's been such an angel compared to the first 2 weeks we had her. But she definitely can find the chicken.

I feed my Beagles using the John Miller method. This diet is extremely healthy and they aren't subjected to the toxins found in commercial dog foods. They get the taste of human food they desire and never beg for what I'm eating.

My dogs love it!
