Has anyone dealt with hiccups? For awhile now Lily has gotten the hiccups every day. They usually only last for 5-10 minutes I just think it's strange that she has been doing this every day. I can't seem to find any trend that would cause them.

Honey has had hiccups 2-3 times since she came home 5-6 weeks ago. All you can do is support them and help them through it. The first time really freaked her out, and I just held her in my lap. The second time, she jumped up on the couch and laid next to me and waited them out.

Starla gets them occasionally, and I usually sit her in my lap sitting up with her arms out and gently, but firmly pat her tummy right right below the rib cage. They go away almost instantly. It used to work with babies when I was a nanny and I thought I would try it with her and evidently it works the same on dogs.

Tobes did at first, vet said it was because his diaphragm and lungs were growing. He very rarely gets them now.
