I think beagles are a breed apart and can be a lot of hard work. If you really can't make the situation work well for you and you are upset and unhappy then this is going to transfer to the dog too = result unhappy owners and unhappy dog. I am sure your decision was far from an easy one to make Kelly, so don't beat yourself up about it, sounds to me as if you gave your best but unfortunately it just didn't work out. So don't feel bad.
