My beagle (Diesel) ways 46lbs, and is not overweight! Everytime we go to the vet, they say he is just all muscle! He is very oversized for a beagle, but we think he's purebred. He's just a big boy! He gets alot of exersize, as we live on a farm, so that contributes to his size, but I have never thought he is overweight, I think it really just depends on the dog!

Aston Martin is 14 inches tall and weighs 27 pounds. He looks a little slim for a beagle, but my vet tells me that's about right for him, though he shouldn't top 30. That being said, he's a very energetic, athletic boy. We walk a lot and he loves to do agility. The vet tells me it's different for every dog...size, build, frame & so on....
