HAHAHA! Oh Nurse Joann, you don't even want to hear me rant about the plants I hate. Want a list of the ones I love? No, I didn't think so.

Love you, Joann. (Hate your dicondra.) Snicker!

Jan, Is this what you don't like? Really? It grows low to the ground and stays green.

Honestly, my problem with ground covers is - if you ever change your mind, you will never get rid of them.

For those of us that live in drought country it's better than brown dead weeds...

All that matters is that you like it and it works for you. And if others like and want to plant it, that's great.

At the doggie daycare and training centre my beagle goes to they have fake turf that many of the dogs go potty on. Whenever we had a training session my girl refused to go near it. The daycare people say that scent hounds mostly don't go near it, because the smell is too overwhelming for them. The daycare hoses it off every day but it still retains some smell. My human nose could not smell anything.

That is very interesting. I had not thought about that with beagles. Some people, who have used artificial turf say that the more expensive brands are less likely to smell. They clean them with bleach and other products. I'm sure the daycare keeps it clean too. Guess you just can't fool a beagle nose.
