I am actually waking up before Gizmo during the night, waking him up to go outside to pee before putting him back in his crate to sleep. He's going from about 10.30-6.30am like this usually just once or twice for toilet.

I'm amazed how quickly he's taken to this routine, hopefully it'll last!!!!

yes Gizmo is our first beagle.

i gotta say he's been brilliant so far, sleeps all night in his crate with just a few breaks for a quick visit into garden, he can sit, stay and responds to his name.

just trying to get him used to his lead round the garden which is going ok, any tips on leash training beagles?
