Did she hurt her neck?
Should I be concerned?
Mixer and I went on for our walk last night. I admit it has been a few days since we have been on our nightly walk but it has been raining. Last night's walk was a DISASTER! I'm very diligent about stopping when she starts pulling on her leash and typically she will just sit down. Which she did last night but the minute I started walking about she would take off into a run and then of course would be yanked back by the leash (note, i did not yank her back, just the sheer force of the leash).
Finally after about 20 minutes she started walking nicer, went potty, but when we got about two houses down from us she must of caught the scent of the neighbors dogs or something and no matter how long I stood there she would not relax. I hate to admit it, but I'm surprised she didn't' pass out from the lack of oxygen she was pulling so hard on her leash and gasping. So I started making my way to our house and it just got worse. We got inside the house and our routine is she goes outside immediatly. We have a pool set up for her out there and with the rain we had earlier i knew it was full so she filled up on water.
My concern..... after she settled down on the couch she started whining. She didn't get up or anything, go to the door or even look at me, but i could hear her whining. Did she hurt her neck last night? Should I be concerned? When my hubby walked through a little bit later she laid her had on his stomach and was still whining. And this morning when she woke up I could hear her under her breath. But she ate all of her breakfast and drank water fine and even let out a few barks at her new toy. But I'm still concerned that she might of hurt herself last night? And because I know she has alot of pent up energy, should I try taking her for a walk tonight... obviously going in a different direction.
